The Wonder Oven’s makes it simple to whip up a small batch — perfect for weeknight cravings or sharing with a friend. These cookies bake up with golden edges, soft centers, melty pockets of chocolate, and a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt to balance the sweetness.

What You'll Need
Ingredients
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp kosher salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chunks
Flaky sea salt, such as Maldon or Jacobsen, for finishing
Directions
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Step 2
Beat in the egg and vanilla until incorporated.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and kosher salt. Gradually stir into the wet mixture.
Step 4
Fold in chocolate chips.
Step 5
Scoop dough (about 1½ tablespoons each) onto the Wonder Oven bake tray, leaving space to spread. You’ll need to bake in batches.
Step 6
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are just set.
Step 7
While still warm, finish each cookie with a pinch of flaky sea salt. Let cool slightly before serving.
